  • What Is The Protocol For A Pet Having Surgery?

    No food after 8 pm the night before surgery but water is fine. You may drop off your pet between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM the morning of surgery and pick up is between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

  • How Often Do I Give Heartworm/ Flea And Tick Prevention?

    Heartworm and flea/tick prevention needs to be given year-round. There are several different types of preventions available such as orals, topicals and injectables. Typically, most orals are monthly such as Heartgard Plus or Nexgard. We also offer monthly topical preventions such as Revolution. The injection, Proheart, lasts 6 months or 12 months depending on which one you choose.

  • What Should I Do If My Cat Is Urinating In Inappropriate Places?

    There could be several reasons that your cat is doing this. Urinary tract infections are very common in felines and will cause them to urinate outside the litter box. We would advise calling our office to schedule a drop off appointment to get a urine sample to test in our lab.  If your cat does have a UTI, medications will be to get your pet feeling better quickly. If no urinary tract infections found, then behavioral problems may be discussed.

  • Do You Have Payment Plans?

    Payment is expected at time of service. We accept Care Credit, pet insurance, and all major credit cards.

  • What Should I Expect When I Board My Animals?

    We provide all the things your pet needs such as bedding, food, leashes, and bowls. Feel free to bring any additional goodies. Please make sure all additional items brought are labeled with their name on it. We do require that all animals are current on vaccinations to board with us. If they are not current, we will be happy to give their vaccines during their stay. Boarding is charged by the day, not by the night. The reservation is good for the entire day, there is no checkout time.

  • Do You Take Walk-Ins?

    No, please call ahead to schedule an appointment.

  • What Are Your Hours On Saturday?

    We are open from 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM on Saturday.

  • What Does A Drop Off Appointment Mean?

    Drop off appointments are generally procedures that take longer than a scheduled appointment time such as bloodwork or x-rays. You may drop off your pet between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM and usually pick up between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM unless needed to stay for hospitalization.

  • What Surgery Services Do You Offer?

    Spays, neuters, mass removals, and dentals make up most of our surgeries. New patients need an appointment for an initial consult on dentals and mass removals.

  • What Should I Watch For After My Pet Has Surgery?

    The surgical incision should be kept clean and dry. Antibiotics and pain medicine are generally sent home with the patient to help with any infection or inflammation. Discourage any licking at the incision. Elizabethan collars are available if needed with excessive chewing or licking. Any sutures or stitches may be removed 14 days post-surgery.

  • Why Does The Animal Hospital Require Bloodwork Prior To Anesthesia?

    Pre-anesthetic bloodwork allows the veterinarians to be able to evaluate your pet’s health. Liver and kidney function, glucose levels and more are checked to make sure your pet is healthy enough to flush out the toxins of the anesthesia. There is always a risk with any anesthetic procedure so this helps determine if we should or should not proceed with the induction of anesthesia.

  • Do I Need To Give All Medication Prescribed?

    Yes, please give all medications prescribed even if your pet begins to feel better.

  • What Temperature Is Considered Normal In Dogs And Cats?

    Average temperature is between 100 and 102℉.
