Heartworm and flea/tick prevention needs to be given year-round. There are several different types of preventions available such as orals, topicals and injectables. Typically, most orals are monthly such as Heartgard Plus or Nexgard. We also offer monthly topical preventions such as Revolution. The injection, Proheart, lasts 6 months or 12 months depending on which one you choose.
There could be several reasons that your cat is doing this. Urinary tract infections are very common in felines and will cause them to urinate outside the litter box. We would advise calling our office to schedule a drop off appointment to get a urine sample to test in our lab. If your cat does have a UTI, medications will be to get your pet feeling better quickly. If no urinary tract infections found, then behavioral problems may be discussed.
Payment is expected at time of service. We accept Care Credit, pet insurance, and all major credit cards.
We provide all the things your pet needs such as bedding, food, leashes, and bowls. Feel free to bring any additional goodies. Please make sure all additional items brought are labeled with their name on it. We do require that all animals are current on vaccinations to board with us. If they are not current, we will be happy to give their vaccines during their stay. Boarding is charged by the day, not by the night. The reservation is good for the entire day, there is no checkout time.

Drop off appointments are generally procedures that take longer than a scheduled appointment time such as bloodwork or x-rays. You may drop off your pet between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM and usually pick up between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM unless needed to stay for hospitalization.
Spays, neuters, mass removals, and dentals make up most of our surgeries. New patients need an appointment for an initial consult on dentals and mass removals.
The surgical incision should be kept clean and dry. Antibiotics and pain medicine are generally sent home with the patient to help with any infection or inflammation. Discourage any licking at the incision. Elizabethan collars are available if needed with excessive chewing or licking. Any sutures or stitches may be removed 14 days post-surgery.
Pre-anesthetic bloodwork allows the veterinarians to be able to evaluate your pet’s health. Liver and kidney function, glucose levels and more are checked to make sure your pet is healthy enough to flush out the toxins of the anesthesia. There is always a risk with any anesthetic procedure so this helps determine if we should or should not proceed with the induction of anesthesia.
Yes, please give all medications prescribed even if your pet begins to feel better.
